Most people will drink coffee to cope with stress in the workplace. However, recent research suggests this effect will be more influential in women than in men.

The study, led by Dr Lindsay St Claire, a lecturer at the University of Bristol, is to test whether caffeine can exacerbate stress and interfere with the performance of the team or vice versa.

The study was conducted by examining 64 people consisting of men and women, average age 22 years. In the study, they were asked to solve various puzzles, collaborative memory tasks and negotiation with same-sex couples, either after drinking caffeinated coffee and decaffeinated.

After drinking caffeinated coffee, it was a woman's ability to solve puzzles 100 seconds faster than men, taken from the pages of Aol.
